What I've been doing:
After graduation continued employment at Pizza Hut where I met my wife. We then moved to Flordia to be closer to her parents. While there we had our first daughter. In 1982 I enlisted in the United States Air Force. Our first duty assignment was to Eielson AFB Alaska. We stayed there four years and had our second and last daughter. We then moved to Hancock Field in Syracuse New York. Next we went to Shaw AFB South Carolina for a year. We then moved back to Syracuse, NY. I have left the active Air Force after 9 years two months and a day, and joined the New York Air National Guard. I will be starting my 20th year total service. I began working at Le Moyne College in August of 1992. I am the Circulation Services Supervisor/Reference Assistant. One of the benefits is that my children can go to Le Moyne or one of 19 other schools tutition free. Jennifer our oldest just graduated from Le Moyne and has begun her first teaching assignment in Farmville VA. Janis is currrently attend Westminster College in New Wilmington PA. Martha has been working in the insurance field for over fifteen years and is currently working for the Independant Insurance Agents Agency. What I've been doing:
After graduating from Florida State University, I ended up back here. (Damn, how'd that happen???) I worked for the Northern Va. Regional Park Authority for 5 years until I became a police officer with FFX. Co. I am now a detective and have been working in electronic surveillance for the past 10 years. I am married (Karen) and have two kids, Krissy, 13 and Josh, 17, (who just got accepted to Florida State, BTW) Since 1991 I have been skating with and coaching inline (rollerblade)speedskating teams. As a matter of fact the season just came to a close and we just got back from Georgia doing an 87.3 mile event and Long Beach, CA. doing a marathon distance (26.2). Time to take a breath. What I've been doing:
I have been very busy being a mom(my true passion). I have 3 wonderful kids. I am very proud of them all. My baby will graduate from Notre Dame academy in middleburg next summer. So she graduates and I have my 30 year class reunion. Where did the time go? Do you realize we are all older than our parents were when we thought they were old. I was a stay at home mom till my youngest went to kindergarden. I then went to work in the medical field as a business manager. I have worked for dr's for 12 years. I also worked for Virgin Atlantic Airlines for a while and that was the most fun job ever. but the pay sucked. Hey, how many do you know that get paid to be a Virgin :)! I still live in the sterling area. Actaully I live in Mrs. Reeves old house in Richland Acres. My mom and dad live down the street and I love having them so close. They have been a big influence on helping raise all the grandkids. I am waiting to be a grandmother and hopefully that will be soon . My oldest daughter is married and in the Air Force and lives in Sumter South Carolina and my son lives here with us temproarily for now. My husband will retire from fairfax County Water Authority next mar and then God only knows what we will do. I am looking very forward to seeing everyone again. I came to Broad Run in april of my junior year but have always felt like the friends i made were my friends for life. What I've been doing:
After graduation, I worked for the Secret Service a year, then married my high school sweet heart, Dwight George - class of 72. We had our first child in Dec 1974. I was a stay at home mom but I occasionally took on odd jobs (mostly retail or clerical) while our family continued to grow and grow and grow!!! We were blessed with our 8th baby just days after our 25th anniversary. We began to home school in 1983 and have continued to this day. We have graduated 4 of our younguns. Our oldest children age 28 and 24 are married and have children, three total.. The rest ages 3.5 to 18 are still at home which (along with low interest rates and a hot market)has prompted us to build a new house. It should be ready before 2003. I began a 6 month volunteer term on our property association board in 1992. Turns out I really enjoyed the work and when the opportunity came up to fill a paid office manager position I accepted the offer. I'm an independent contractor so I set my own hours. Mom was right the secretary skills I learned at BRHS has finally paid off! My job is never boring. I meet alot of great people. I really want to thank Mrs. Soto for teaching Biology in a meaningful way. I do wish that I had put up with Mr. Sutula for the rest of the school year. He was a good teacher, I just HATED chemistry! Thought Physics would be worse. Coach Hartung's Broad Run Follies was the greatest. Look forward to seeing everyone and getting reacquainted.

November 25, 2002 Hi everyone! This website is great! I REALLY enjoyed the l0 year reunion photo. What do you all look like now? I live in southern California with my super husband of 20+ years. Wow - 20 years. He is an attorney with a statewide California law firm and works in the area of labor law. We have two teens that we adore. Of course the l0 years before that were UP and DOWN - while I figured out what the heck I was supposed to be doing. Fortunately we can have SHORT memories of the unsuccessful years. Our two wonderful teens are ages 19 and 17. Our son is attending the University of San Diego at the moment but is trying to wiggle his way of out it for a season. Our daughter is a senior this year and making her plans for college next fall. We are all very busy with our lives and activities. I am President and Founder of Set Apart Ministries which you can see at www.setapartministries.com my new website. I am passionate about the Lord and was saved in a Damascus road experience in my house one day back in l995. Since then I have been very serious about my faith and He has blessed me exponentially. It looks like He may be putting me on a t.v. program to share all the wisdom and knowledge that He has given to me. Universal Studios is picking up the project and it is scheduled to run in March. I will keep you posted. We are working on putting on a fashion show right now with San Diego young people that we are training to be models. We are going to shoot the fashion show for local t.v. and raise money to feed the homeless for Christmas. The models themselves will get some hands-on experience in helping the less fortunate. Some of these models will participate in the new t.v. program. Our prayer is that this event will help put SAN DIEGO on the minds of the people in the nation and bless the youth and our homeless in the process. I pray that all of you are well and enjoying wonderful prosperous lives. I will try to make this reunion as long as it isn't scheduled during high school graduation like last year. :) This is my only daughter and last child graduating in June and it is going to be a tear jerker. What I've been doing:
I married in 1975, moved to Denver, CO 2/77 and gave birth to my daughter, Arwen, that December (they say it's the altitude). I was divorced in 1980, received a B.A. in Writing from the University of Colorado at Denver in 1986, and married Rick in 1987 immediately after he graduated from the Denver Police Academy (to my close friends: yes, he really is a cop and stop giggling). Our son, Dylan, was born in 11/92. For the past 10 years, I have been managing youth orchestras, a job I love dearly - even if I starve to death doing it. I worked at Bechtel Corp from 1988-92 as office manager and spec editor for the plans for Denver International Airport and the Vista Volunteer Coordinator for CU-Denver's Center for Community Development and Design. Today, I am the grandmother of a gorgeous 2-yr old girl and a disarming 6-mo. old boy. I am also a substitute teacher, non-profit administrative troubleshooter. Although I'm older, I haven't changed all that much as people can still remember me from my baby pictures...so I'm pretty sure my old friends at BRHS will recognize me when they see me. I've enjoyed the warmth of the Florida sunshine since Spring 1980. Daytona Beach was a drastic change from my life in Utah and Virginia. I married and had a telecommunications business for 15 years. Neither the marriage nor business survived. I am now happily married to Mike; we just recently purchased our first home. I never had children, but Mike has a grown daughter in Cleveland, with 2 granddaughters. My parents and brother Harry and family are within 10 miles and brother Bill is in Tampa. Although I was part of the class of '73, I didn't actually graduate from BRHS. My parents moved back to Japan after my junior year, and I moved to NJ to stay with friends and finish out high school. From there, I went to Seattle to attend the University of Washington and received a BA in Zoology in 1977. As far as education, I completed my MBA from Seattle University in 1987, and completed my MA in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in 1999. For work, I worked for the Seattle Mariners Baseball Club for their first 3 seasons, and then went to work for Boeing in 1979. When Boeing decided to move their World Headquarters to Chicago, I was asked to move, so we got to "Chicagoland" in the summer of 2001. I met my wife, Cheryl, when we both worked for the Mariners, and we've been married since June of 1980, and have 3 children -- Josh (21), Christopher (19), and Allison (15).

What I've been doing:
I have been a nurse for 22 years. I spent 3 months in Bangalore, India as a volunteer nurse through the Baptist Student Union (BSU) and Southern Baptists. I was one of two nurse chosen from the United States. I worked at Washington Hospital center for 10 years, Potomac Hospital ER for 4 years and office nursing, Internal medicine for 7+ years. I am completing Family Nurse Practitioner school, my MSN, through Marymount University in Arlington, VA., in May 2003. I am completing my internship and will get a job as a family nurse practitioner after graduation. I love nursing and will enjoy my new role, hopefully as a primary care family nurse practitioner where I can diagnose and treat clients from newborn (usually 2 days old) and up through the end of the life span.

What I've been doing:
After graduation I was employed at the National Council of Teachers of Math until I met my future husband. I moved to ND in l973 and married Bob. We'll be married 30yrs this June (how time flies!) We moved to KS in l992 where we still live. We have 2 daughters-- Jessica is 25 and she lives/works about 20 miles from us. Arica is 21 and attends Kansas State University. I was a "stay at home mom" until Jessica started college. In l996 I started working for Abbott Labs in MacPherson, KS. I work in the HR office and also in the Validation office. Most days are hectic but I love my job and the people I work with. We live out in the country and I love the solitude life. It's the best place to raise your children. I was back in VA last summer for our class reunion and was amazed at how much it has grown. VA is just as beautiful as I remember it but I am glad I don't have to fight the traffic every day! Well, in a "nut shell" this is what I've been doing since I graduated from BRHS.

What I've been doing:
Most of my time has been spent raising my two children. I have worked for Marriott since 1975. I've assisted with the care of my ailing mother until 1992 and have devoted my time carrying on her name by planning the children activities at our annual family reunion. I am an avid Nascar fan (Go Terry Labonte #5)and have obtained season tickets to the Richmond track where I attend two races every year. I drove a race car myself at the Charlotte track (that was awesome). Since I am one of nine children, I have attended many weddings and party functions over the years. What I've been doing:
I've been working since graduation (less than 4 years until retirement). Learned Systems Programming on the job at Fairfax County. I know, I've been told for more than 10 years the mainframe is dead but with that kind of reliability, dependability, security and plan old stability, people are just not that eager to abandon the mainframe system. I've been married quiet a while and have 3 children - all 4 years apart. Currently I'm in my 10th year of high school at Park View and my 6th year of college. I have been actively involved in the all the schools my children attended - volunteering countless hours from elementary to high school. What I've been doing:
I have been married to Kevin for almost 32 years!!!!! We have 3 children-Jeff 28, Rebecca 25, Sara Beth 23 and a super son in law Charlie(Becca's husband). No grandchildren yet--they were just married in Sept. 2002. After teaching K-4 for 12 years I made a major career change and now manage an office for Peaches'n Clean a carpet and upholstery cleaning company in Alabama. We like to sail and are members of Southern Cruisers a motorcycle club. I have my own motorcycle but would rather to be a passenger on Kevin's sportbike....I just prefer not to know how fast we are going!!!! We have lived many places throughout Kevin's Navy career and each of our children was born in a different state. We retired from the Navy and stayed in LA(lower Alabama!) where we love being near the Gulf of Mexico and also the climate. I admit a little snow every now and then would be a treat though!!!

What I've been doing:
After leaving Broad Run, I completed my degree at Emory and Henry College and then my Master's from The University of Tennessee - Knoxville. Was Head Women's Basketball Coach at Western Kentucky University for 4 years, then moved on as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at The University of Georgia. We played for a National Championship in 1984 and lost to Old Dominion by 5. I had the opportunity to coach 2 Olympians and 5 All-Americans while there. Because of repercussions from a car accident, I left coaching and moved into college admissions at Georgia as an Associate Director and Director of Orientation, where I stayed for 8 years. My (now) husband, Kenny, whom I had actually met back when I coached at WKU contacted me and we wound up marrying in November of 1995. I moved to KY and worked in the Vanderbilt University Admissions office as an Associate Director for 2 1/2 years. The drive was horrific and I decided to quit and then didn't work for a couple years - a nice reprieve that then became boring. I then started working as an agent at Randstad in Bowling Green, where I have been for the last 3 years. Kenny quit as President of a local bank shortly after I started at Randstad to pursue a lifelong dream to open a business of his own. We opened "Country Koi and Water Garden" three years ago and it is proving to be quite a successful venture. He has two wonderful children from a previous marriage, Kelly (25) and Ryan (20). We live in southcentral KY, about 60 miles from Nashville, TN. Not sure if I'll be able to make the reunion as summer is our busiest time for water gardening, installing ponds and selling fish. Would love to hear from any of you!!!! How often I think of the carefree days of BRHS and what fun we had!!!

In 1977 I took a position in "Data Processing" at the CIA. I have held several IT positions over the years and am currently responsible for design, procurement and implementation of our data storage solutions. I met my bride, Tina, at the Agency and after only 10 years of dating, we were married in 1996. I am sure she must have been correct when she pointed out that I would not be happy living in her house (nor her, mine) so we had to get a new place together if we had any chance of serenity. After much consideration, we ended up-where else- back in the Cascades area of Sterling. When not working, I try to spend as much time as possible doing nothing. Failing that, I apparently enjoy doing yard work and visiting the "out-laws" in Stanley, Va. We also enjoy golfing and going to any destination in the Caribbean durring Winter. Hello Gang, I have continued to live here in Chapel Hill. My living situation is serene in the woods with a couple of critters. Especially this time of the year I stay busy playing music and going to festivals. I play old style claw hammer banjo, and also play the dog house bass. My sister Ruth, lives about 40 minutes away and she is busy and tired with 3 children. I'm hoping she will come with me to the reunion! My folks have moved from the Sterling area and live nearby.
