Navigation Broad Run High School

Hi, and welcome to the unofficial Broad Run High School Reunion web site. The site is concerned with the classes 1970-1976ish. If you are familiar with these years, this site is for you.

News:

Here's something new:

Kathleen Dugger fund raiser

Some people are putting together a benefit basketball game between old Park View and Broad Run people.  Below is the email that gives the general outline about it, but the main thing is that the proceeds will go to benefit Kathleen Dugger to help allay some of her medical costs.  As you may know, she has Guillain-Barre Syndrome for which there is no cure as yet.

Here is an email from Mike Devaney (His email:pvhsfootball@gmail.com):

This is what I have right now.

There will be an alumni basketball at PV on April 10th.

Cost per player is $20.00 each

kicking around the idea of having alumni cheerleaders as well- same deal $20.00 each.

Admission will be $5.00, under 12 free.

Still kicking around formats. Once I get a better idea on how many players we have, we will go from there. I have mentioned on the PV side that there may be groups that are already teams, or it may be a playground choose teams type of thing.

IF BR is involved, though, I think it best if they can get a full team, and if not, I can check with some of the older alum from PV who also went to BR if they want to be on that team.

My thought is that the week before , a group gets together to finalize the plans- how many games, how long quarters, running clock, etc. Might be a straight up tournament, maybe round robin, maybe something else.

Let me know if you have any other questions...

Mike
